Queer Urban Orchestra (QUO), hailed for its “glorious” performances (The New York Times), is the Northeast’s only orchestra rooted in the LGBTQ+ community. Celebrating queer artistry from its membership to featured composers and performers, the orchestra promotes equity and empathy. An orchestra of volunteer musicians, QUO was founded in New York City in 2009, and since its inaugural concert, the orchestra’s membership has grown to over 100 musicians.
